Footpath Link re-opens

opening of path
The Town Council is pleased to announce that following a long legal process the footpath on the Fron Road play area (at rear of Labour Club) now links through the Health Centre car park and down to the High Street Precinct.
This has taken a few years to sort out due to legal complications on land ownership and with tenants but it is at last open. Many thanks to all who assisted in the process. It will be formally opened by the Chair of the Town Council Cllr Andy Dunbobbin soon.

The footpath was formally opened by the Chair of the Town Council Cllr Andy Dunbobbin on Monday 3 March who said ‘I am immensely pleased that this path is at long last open – it will help people to walk directly from the residential area surrounding the amenity area down to the doctors/clinic and shops beyond without a detour which has been the case over the past few years.’

Town Clerk Ian Jones added that ‘sorting out the legal process was quite long and arduous but it was pleasing to see it completed. Special thanks are extended to all those who have had an input these include the Owners and tenants of the Health Centre, our Legal adviser Mr. Cunnah and Flintshire CC Engineering and Regeneration.’
