The Town Council have been planning this year’s festival for several months, intending to build on the success of last year.
Unfortunately due to the current restrictions in place to tackle the COVID-19 global pandemic, it will not be possible to go ahead with the festival on Sunday 28th June.
The safety of all those attending is paramount and so it was decided, rather than just cancelling the festival, we would postpone in the hope that something can be arranged later this year.
A council spokesperson said “It is such a shame that this event cannot go ahead in June as it is such a positive thing for the local community, bringing everyone together for a fun filled day of activities. However, we have to think of the safety of everyone attending and recognise that tackling this awful virus has to be everyone’s number 1 priority.“
